Southern Arizona Go Red for Women
Thursday, September 28, 2023

fierce [adjective] /firs/
Showing a heartfelt and powerful intensity

We’ve got this. We’re in this together. We can do it.
We are Mothers. Sisters. Daughters. Wives. Partners. Friends. Warriors. Executives. Leaders. We are Women. Strong. Resilient. Relentless. Fierce. We are united by purpose and connected by passion, and we are flipping the script to ensure all women have the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.
Since 2004, the Go Red for Women movement has educated millions of women about their No. 1 killer: cardiovascular disease. But now we face a new challenge; research shows that younger women and women of color are not aware that this threat is real.
We continue to innovate ways to ensure all women are aware of their heart disease risk and empower women to take control of their well-being. Good heart health is a journey, not a destination, and Go Red for Women wants to walk hand-in-hand with women through every age and every stage as a trusted health partner. We are also working tirelessly to accelerate science, advance public health policy, and engage more women in research and STEM – and it’s all thanks to supporters like you.
There are heroes in each of us, and together, we CAN eradicate heart disease and stroke in women.

Go Red for Women is proud to announce the 2023 Real Women Class.

Meet the 2023 Go Red for Women Real Women, an incredible group of heart disease and stroke survivors committed to sharing their stories to raise awareness of the No. 1 killer of women – cardiovascular disease. These 12 women embody everything it means to “live fierce” and are sharing their powerful stories as national volunteers to help empower women everywhere to take control of their health.
We honor these fiercely fabulous women and thank them for supporting our mission: To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.
Why? Because losing even one woman to cardiovascular disease is too many.
